Sometimes it seems like we serve a "Never-Enough" God. Meaning that He can never do enough to prove how much He loves us. The cycle of sin and captivity keeps repeating itself. The story from the Book of Hosea is like the story of being released from slavery in Egypt in reverse. No matter how much God does, the Israelites keep chasing after false gods in prideful arrogance.
