Jesus With Broken Hands

There's a statue of Jesus on my filing cabinet that caused someone to send me a message urging me to be born again. The person presumed that it was a Roman Catholic statue of Jesus. I don't worship statues. The Jesus with broken hands was a special Christmas gift to me from a special little girl.

If you watch our YouTube videos of our podcast, Bible Shorts With Biblebob, you'll see a statue of Jesus on my filing cabinet. Someone to send me a message urging me to be born again. The person presumed that it was a Roman Catholic statue of Jesus.

I don't worship statues. The Jesus with broken hands was a special Christmas gift to me from a special little girl. When I opened the gift in a tissue paper filled box, the hands were broken. The little girl's mom was upset, but I was overjoyed! Somehow jesus with broken hands had a special meaning to me. I smiled, tearfuly and gratefully. I'm guessing that was over 20 years ago. I still tearfully smile with gratitude when I lokk at the broken handed Jesus.

We appreciate all messages. It seems the sender of this message was judging my "born again" status by my having possession of a Roman Catholic Jesus. Just for the record, I was brought up Catholic and i'm eternally grateful. At one point I was going to be a Catholic Priest, but that didn't work out for many reasons.

I heard a preacher once say in an Assembly of God church that we're all going to be surprised who we meet in heaven. Knowing Jesus through a personal relationship that includes believing in His death and resurrection coupled with our repentance for our sins is the way to heaven. Accepting Christ is accepting a new way of life as in being spiritually born again.

Only God knows the heart. Only God knows who is truly born again.

Just sayin.....
