Did God Call Women Cows Ep.#130
Are you prepared to meet your Maker? God got fed up with the Israelites who paid no attention to Him. They got prosperous by oppressing the poor. Someday our time will be up on this planet, and we will go to meet our Maker. Methinks we better be ready?

Amos starts out this chapter with a seemingly mocking word toward women. Well, folks, it's kind of like that. In Bashan there was plenty for cattle to feed on to make them plump and healthy. The women were being told taht they got prosperous from oppressing poor people. That's just not right.
In this - another of one of the prophet's doom and gloom messages, Amos repeats the phrase: "yet you did not return to Me." Repeatedly God used affliction to get people's attention, but they paid Him no mind. God mocked their fake worship and offerings. The phrase that hit me the hardest in this episode was: "Prepare to meet your God in judgement."
That day will come folks. Are you prepared to meet your Maker? God got fed up with the Israelites who paid no attention to Him. They got prosperous by oppressing the poor. Someday our time will be up on this planet, and we will go to meet our Maker. Methinks we better be ready? Thanks for your time. Go do something nice for somebody. Jesus loves you and so do we.
